Action research in foreign language education

Action research has been shown to be effective in a variety of ways for teachers in the classroom setting. Teachers worldwide have utilised action research as a component of their teaching and research endeavours. Undoubtedly, action research is very compatible with education and provides advantages to teachers as well as learners in their teaching and learning endeavours. This is because action research effectively addresses the requirements of education and facilitates ongoing research through its cyclical process. The applicability of action research to education is evident in its inherent qualities and traits. This article examines several topics related to action research, encompassing definitions, advantages, and steps to highlight the significance and benefits of action research in the field of education. Meta-analysis of selected studies on action research in  education was conducted and the results were compared.
