Integrating AI into Teacher-Training Curriculum

In recent years, artificial intelligence has gained significant attention, changing the way we work, acquire knowledge, and engage with technology. The use of artificial intelligence into education enhances teaching and learning. This article explores and discusses integrating AI into teacher-training curricula to equip (future) educators with AI skills. It addresses gaps in teacher prep for AI literacy and suggests ways to incorporate AI tools into training programs. By training future teachers to use AI for personalized learning and administrative tasks, the study emphasizes the need for educators to excel in an AI-focused education system. The article concludes with recommendations for curriculum design, professional development, and policy frameworks to support the sustainable integration of AI into teacher education. What more, the text shortly addresses ethical considerations, data privacy, and equity issues that may arise from integrating AI in teacher education.
