
Polish as a foreign language. Important aspects of teaching effective communication.

The purpose of the speech is to present the history of teaching Polish as a foreign language both in Poland and in the world, taking into deep consideration the improvement of teaching materials, methods and the role of language skills in the glottodidactic process. The main topic of the presentation will concern the shift of importance to communication skills, treated as
a code transmitted between a sender and a recipient. The practical aspects of teaching and effective development of foreigners’ speaking abilities in Polish on A1 level will be presented. The speaker will also concentrate on how to test and verify the progress of students in this area.
